LPSC Technical Assistant, Technician ‘B’ Selection Procedure/Scheme:
The Selection Procedure/Scheme of the Exam will be as follows: Written Exam, Skill test & Physical Fitness Standards
Exam Pattern for LPSC Technical Assistant, Technician ‘B’ Posts:
For post codes 681 to 683, 685, 686 & 688:
The Selection process consists of (1) Written test and (2) Skill test. The written test will be conducted first. Required number of candidates (ratio between vacancy and number of candidates to be called for skill test) alone shall be called for skill test based on written test scores. Written test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate are tested covering both breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum. The skill test will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection. The skill test will be evaluated on a 100 point scale with minimum 60% for qualification. The final selection will be done amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained in the written test. From amongst candidates who qualify in the skill test with minimum 60% marks, select panel will be drawn in the order of marks obtained in the written test. In case of a tie in the written scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be the tie-breaker.
For post code 684: The Selection process consists of (1) Written test and (2) Skill test. Candidates whose applications are received against this advertisement will be shortlisted based on the defined screening guidelines and those screened-in candidates alone will be called for Written Test. Written test consists of one paper covering objective and descriptive type questions for 100 marks. Candidates will be short-listed for skill test based on the performance in the written test and taking into consideration number of vacancies notified.. Those who secure minimum 50% marks each in both objective and descriptive type questions in the written test will be considered for short-listing for skill test. The skill test will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection. For the skill test, candidates have to type a given passage of 250 words in Hindi at a speed of 25 words per minute on Computer using INSCRIPT KEYBOARD in MANGAL FONT. A maximum of 5% mistakes are allowed. No marks will be awarded for skill test and the test will be on the principle of either “Qualified” or “ Not Qualified”. The final selection, shall however, be based on the scores obtained in the written test for the candidates who have qualified in the Skill Test. From amongst candidates who qualify in the skill test, empanelment will be done in the order of marks obtained in the written test. In case of a tie in the written scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be the tiebreaker
For post code 687: The Selection process consists of (1) Written test and (2) Skill test (Endurance test) [For the post of Fireman ‘A’, medical examination will form part of the selection process]. The Written test will be conducted first and short-listing will be done based on the written test scores and required number of candidates (ratio between vacancy and number of candidates to be called for skill test) alone shall be called for Skill test. The skill test will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection.
