ISRO IPRC Technician ‘B’ Selection Process:
The Selection Procedure of the Exam will be as follows:

Note:
- i) The final selection will be based on the scores obtained in the Written Test.
- ii) The Skill test will be conducted purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the Skill Test shall not be considered for final selection. The candidate has to obtain a minimum of 60% of marks in the Skill Test to qualify in the Skill Test.
iii) In case of a tie in Written Test scores, the academic scores of the prescribed qualification shall be the tie breaker.
- iv) The above mode of selection may change as per Govt. of India/DOS orders from time to time.
- v) The Written Test / Skill Test will normally be conducted in Nagercoil / Mahendragiri only.
Syllabus for Written Test:
The Syllabus for Written Test and Skill Test for the posts having post codes 029, 003, 015, 020, 031 and 028 is purely based on the Curriculum (Academic Syllabus) of the prescribed Educational Qualification.
The Syllabus of Written Test for the remaining posts are given below:
Hindi Typist [Post Code: 033]
– Part ‘A’ (20 marks) – General English (Objective type)
– Part ‘B’ (15 marks) – General Knowledge and Reasoning Ability (Objective type)
– Part ‘C’ (15 Marks) – Arithmetic (Objective type)
– Part ‘D’ (10 marks) – Computer Literacy (Objective type)
– Part ‘E’ (40 marks) – Descriptive Type Question in Hindi essay writing / letter writing / precis / comprehension / grammar etc.
Those who secure minimum 50% marks in Part ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ put together and minimum 50% marks in Part ‘E’ will be considered for Short-listing for Skill Test (Hindi Typewriting test on computer with 25 words per minute speed).
The Typewriting Test comprises of typing of a given passage of 250 words in Hindi at a speed of 25 words per minute on computer using INSCRIPT KEYBOARD in MANGAL FONT. A maximum of 5% mistakes are allowed.
Driver-cum-Operator ‘A’ [Post Code: 016]
– Basic chemistry with reference to flammable liquids and gases
– LPG properties
– Relation between Pressure, volume and temperature
– Areas of triangle, rectangle and parallelogram
– Volumes of cylinders, cones, sphere and cuboid
– Properties of Water, CO2, O2, H2, Inert gases
– Basic concept in the use of electricity and its hazards
– Traffic regulations
– Trouble shooting and maintenance of vehicles
– Battery maintenance and charging
– Upkeep of log books
– Simple Arithmetic (of Class X standard)
– Basic English
– General Knowledge and Current Affairs
Fireman ‘A’ [Post Code: 008]
– Basic chemistry with reference to flammable liquids and gases
– LPG properties
– Relation between Pressure, volume and temperature
– Areas of triangle, rectangle and parallelogram
– Volumes of cylinders, cones, sphere and cuboid
– Properties of Water, CO2, O2, H2, Inert gases

– Part ‘A’ (50 marks) – Questions based on Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 and amendments to the Act from time to time

– Part ‘D’ (20 marks) – General Knowledge
Those who secure minimum 50% marks in Part ‘A’ and minimum 50% marks amongst Part ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ combined will be considered for Short-listing for Skill Test (Driving Test).

Knowledge in cooking and equipments used in kitchen, General Knowledge, General English and Arithmetic (SSLC/Matriculation level).
PHYSICAL FITNESS STANDARDS FOR POST CODES 008 & 016
- No deformity (inter-alia, bow legs, knock knees or flat foot shall be a disqualification)
- Height – 165 cm (minimum)
- Weight – 50 kg (minimum)
- Chest – 81 cm (minimum) Chest on expansion – 86 cm (minimum)
- Distant Vision – 6/6 without glasses or any other aid
- Near Vision – Normal, but presbyopic correction for persons above 40 years
- Night blindness is a disqualification
- Colour blindness is a disqualification
- Each eye must have full field of vision
- Squint or any other morbid condition of the eyes, or of the eyelids of either eye liable to the risk of aggravation or recurrence, shall be deemed to be a disqualification.
